Vertisel Isaac's Obituary
Mr. Vertisel Isaac ended his earthly journey in Spanaway Washington on Monday August 10, 2015. Vertisel was born November 17, 1935, in Arkansas, where he was the youngest of 5 sons of Crowlie and Luellar (Lewis) Isaac. Vertisel is preceded in death by his parents Crowlie and Luellar Isaac, and older brothers Willie, Elmo and Cleo and one sister Jessie Faye Hankins. He is survived by his two brothers and one sister, Rose Smith of Laguna Hills, California and Thomas (Heather) Curtis of Tacoma, Washington.
Vertisel was most proud of his work in construction of many important building and bridges which included the Oakland Bay Bridge, San Mateo Bridge and various bridges in the bay area. Vertisel loved to jump in his road cars and travel along 1-5 listening to his Ole school music all the way down the highway. His travels included a short trip to California, Las Vegas and Michigan to visit close family and friends and taking in the beautiful sites along the way like Mt. Rainier, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf in downtown San Francisco.
Vertisel leaves to cherish his memories; his children Leroy Jackson (Sandra), Cynthia Moore (Michael), Darlene Whitson (Walt), and Vertisel Jr. of Tacoma, Washington, and special friend Alma Birchett.
Vertisel leaves a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Vertisel touched many and many will miss his presence, if you met him once you will never forget him. His memory will last forever.
