Vernon Nyle Van Horn's Obituary
Vernon Nyle Van Horn, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Lakewood, WA. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Spokane, WA to Joy and Lorena Van Horn.
Vernon served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. After his military service, he worked as a Fitter Welder for Tacoma Boat for many years. His memberships included the Boilermaker Union and Christ Lutheran Church. He had a green thumb when it came to growing things and was a pretty good fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen J., daughter Patty Amby, step-son Tim Allread, numerous grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and cousin Emery Van Horn.
A celebration of Vernon’s life was held at 2pm, Sunday January 26, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lakewood, WA.
