Vernelle Curry Hudson,"Tony,"Vernelle Curry Hudson was born March 26, 1930 in Efland, North Carolina and passed away on May 24, 2007.Tony retired after 22 years in the Army. During his career, he received many awards including two Bronze stars for serving in Vietnam.Tony retired from Pierce Transit where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and a Past Master of Arthur Ury Lodge # 73.Survivors include five daughters, three step-sons, five brothers and three sisters, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Friday, June 1, 2007 from 12 noon to 9pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the Celebration of Life Aspen Chapel at 10 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
