I met Verla in 1968 when I started at CBS Television. We have been friends ever since.
We used to take yoga lessons from Carol Burnett. We shared so many laughs with my husband Charlie. The three of us used to go out together and have a good time. I am so happy to have such good memories of Verla. Madeleine Dobronte
Meeting Verla will be a great memory in my life. I listened to her sing with "The Fun Singers" and feel fortunate that I have her CD on my iTunes. We would share many thoughts when we visited and I loved her smile and laugh. She will be remembered always each time I hear her singing on my CD. My condolences to her family. Beverly Ahnert
I will always remember Verla. I worked with her at Korum for about 4 very significant years of my life. In the breakroom over coffee, she used to ask me about my life and told me many stories about hers, especially her days in CA. And then there were the times Verla and I would show up to work with the same hairstyle. It was unplanned, and I was quite a bit younger which made it even funnier. She told me that if only I put lipstick on, we'd be twins. I loved the quirky things she'd say sometimes. I'll also never forget the day she helped me sneak my 80-lb dog into the office for a quick visit. She did love animals! And she was probably the most un-lazy person I've ever met--juggling 2-3 jobs, taking care of her mother and participating in many other enriching events. She will continue to inspire me in that way. Verla, may you sing and dance forever in heaven.

So sorry to hear about Verla, she was always so full of energy and happy. We are so grateful to have had the time we spent with her. Verla and her singing has left an ever lasting memory for all of us who got to enjoy it...
