Verita Allen's Obituary
Verita Denise Allen 65 of Tacoma, Washington was called home on December 28, 2023. She is now resting peacefully with her father Hugh Davidson, brothers Hugh (Tony) Davidson, Ricky Davidson, sister Vanessa Davidson and Aunt Notrice Edwards.
Verita was born in Tacoma, WA on December 19, 1958 to Hugh Davidson and JoAnn Vessell. The Davidson family lived in many places including Germany, Alabama, and Alaska while be raised in a military home. Her father Hugh Davidson served our country proudly for many years. During her life in Anchorage, AK she married Richard Johns and they welcomed two children Demiquis and Mone. Later in life she was also married to Dwayne Allen and Michael Stredike.
Verita had many passions and hobbies. She loved to ride motorcycles, dance, listen to Motown music, cook, grow/nurture plants, and watch Jeopardy and most of all binge watch lifetime movies. Verita also made a career in the legal field working for many attorneys and law firms as their legal assistant.
Verita is survived by her daughters Demiquis Gomez and Mone Johns. Sisters Valarie Allmon, Venice Herring and mother JoAnn Vessell. She has nine amazing grandchildren Dejane Chatman, Deshawn Henderson, Reuben Chatman Jr, Demonte Henderson, Deliyah Henderson, Lilyana Chatman, Elijah Simpson, Leander Johnson and LaTonya Johnson.
Tacoma is where life started and ended with Verita and during her final years, she was surrounded by many friends who became her family. Thank you to each one of you for celebrating life with her, we are all filled with happiness to know she was loved. So much gratitude to Sheila and Grandpa for making her final days special and making sure they were filled with love
