Vera M. Woodill's Obituary
VERA MARY WOODILL
Vera was born in Astoria, New York on January 5, 1915, to Russian immigrants, Christina and Nikolay Shamkin. Vera has now gone to be with her beloved husband, Bob, who preceded her in death by over 40 years; her twin sister, Lily; her parents; and siblings: Freddie, Al, and Naida. She is survived by her youngest brother, Walter; her daughters: Veronica, Linda, and Deborah; as well as her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She worked hard all her life as a waitress, secretary, bank teller, and medical records keeper for Western State Hospital. She was especially hard working and dedicated towards her family.
She was always a loving and giving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend.
Her loving care, devotion, strength, and faith affected others in so many ways. As she enters the arms of the Lord our love and blessings go with her. She will be missed.
There will be a graveside service at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA at 3:30 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2011. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held afterward at the Koch House (28615 13th Avenue South, Federal Way, WA)
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
