Venita Nash Schaefer
Venita Nash Schaefer Hoffman passed away quietly Sunday, May 20th at 2:45 p.m. with her loving husband Melvin Hoffman, and her daughter Sally Ongaro by her side. She was born August 11, 1924 to Vera Watkins Sidwell and George Dewey Nash in Lehi, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Schaefer, her sister Georga Reed, and her brother James Black. Venita leaves behind her brother Louis Black, daughter Sally Ongaro, son Steven Schaefer, and her grandchildren Michelle Ongaro, Matthew Ongaro, and Joey Schaefer, along with six great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren to whom she dedicated much of her time doing things with and for. Venita also loved to dance. She and her husband Mel enjoyed ballroom dancing with friends several times a week, until she could no longer participate. Words cannot express how dearly she was loved and how much she will be missed, and she will remain close in our hearts forever. Memorial held at Tahoma Military Cemetery in Kent at 2pm May 25th, 2012.
