Velma Varner's Obituary
Velma was born February 23, 1919 in Mineral, WA to Nels and Bessie Johnson. She passed away peacefully April 2, 2005 at Tacoma Lutheran Home. Velma married Michael Pulich Sr. in 1937. They had two children, Sandy and Michael Jr. Michael Sr. passed away in 1983. Velma was lucky enough to find love a second time and she married Harold Varner in 1989. Harold passed away in 2002. Velma was also preceded in death by her parents; two siblings, Bud and Nelda; a granddaughter, Tami; a grandson, Brad; and her son Michael Jr.Velma is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Dar), stepson Neil (Sue), five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Velma was a wonderful role model for her family. She was strong, spirited and loved us all unconditionally. Her family meant everything to her. We will miss her very much.The family would like to thank Tacoma Lutheran Home, especially the Alpine Unit for the wonderful care they provided Velma the last two years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tacoma Lutheran Home.A celebration of VelmaÂ's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 8, 2005 at Tacoma Lutheran Home Chapel.
