To the Velma Johnson family; Georgia & I have known George and Velma for many years. I worked with Velma at the old NP hospital in East Tacoma. I found her to be a loving and sincere individual. We have remained friends throughout the years. We pray that God will bless and comfort you as you mourn the loss of your beautiful mother.##imported-begin##Charles and Georgia James##imported-end##

Mrs. Johnson was a second mother to my sister and myself. We loved her and I know she loved us. I will never forget her or Mr. Johnson. My prayers go out to Beverly, Darrell, Patrice, and Georgie. My solace comes from knowing she is with the Lord, Mr. Johnson, Larry, my parents and all the others that has passed on.

A prayer for peace of mind and comfort of spirit. I was moved by Barbara's comments on how loving Mother Johnson was to her. Also, Darrel, we know that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree", therefore, the kind and loving person that you are speaks as a testament of what a wonderfully special person your mother was. May God's grace comfort you with the knowledge that your mother continues to bless us all through the life that you lead.

Although I never knew Ms. Johnson, I am familiar with the emotional pain that goes along with losing your mother, or someone dear to you. It is my prayer that God's grace will be sufficient for you all during this time or mourning. May God's peace and love continue to comfort you all!##imported-begin##Douglas Watts##imported-end##
Earth has not sorrows that heaven can not heal. I can truly understand your loss and pain of a mother. My prayers are with you during these moments and after the service. May the blessings of our God keep you and the family. I will not be able to attend the service because I am out of the state until October. If there is something I can do to assist you through this period please contact me after this time. May the peace of God that passes all human understanding guard your hearts and minds.##imported-begin##Rev. Naomi Peete##imported-end##
My mother-in-law was a kind, generous and loving woman. She always treated me with respect and as a daughter rather than an in-law. I praise God for those times we could laugh and talk. I celebrate her life. I will miss mom, but am happy that there's no more pain, sorrow ... now only JOY, as she is with our Lord.##imported-begin##Barbara##imported-end##
My sincere condolences go out to the family of Velma Johnson: Although, I didn’t know Mrs. Johnson personally, it is my sincere hope that her family be comforted, knowing that by means of God’s Kingdom, all human suffering, sickness, and even death will one day be brought to an end! (Please read 1 Corinthians 15:25; Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4) For those like Velma who are asleep in death; the King of God’s Kingdom will awaken them to life on earth, by means of a resurrection.
