Vanessa Duc Nguyen's Obituary
Loving Daughter, Caring Sister, Wonderful Wife, Magnificent Mother and most important of all, a True Friend. Born in Bao Loc, Vietnam on July 24, 1974, Vanessa and her brother Marcus immigrated to the U.S. in 1986. Overcoming great adversity, Vanessa achieved the American Dream and was striving for more. She graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1994, attended TCC, WWU & UW Tacoma before obtaining her BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting on June 11, 1999. Vanessa has worked for MultiCare, Davita and was currently with the City of TacomaÂ's Public Utilities. She lived her life to the fullest with all itÂ's ups and downs. Cared for and loved by those who she had the pleasure to have met. VanessaÂ's pain and suffering from lupus ended on Jan 3, 2006 at 1:22AM at Tacoma General Hospital. She is survived by her parents Thong Nguyen & Kim-Xuan Le, husband Shanh Paul Chanthavong, son Adam, brother Marcus, sisters Tuong Vi, Tuong Anh, sister in law Thien-An Nguyen, niece Faith and not to mention the countless relatives and friends who has been there for her through thick and thin. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Thank-you for the loving memories Vanessa! You will live forever in our Hearts. Memorial service will be held at 2 PM on January 14, 2006 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel, with viewing from 10AM to 1PM in the main office prior to the Memorial service.
