Vallye Ann Edwards 's Obituary
Vallye Edwards, 62, of Puyallup, WA, born May 26, 1954 and went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2017.
She loved to sew, crochet and knit. Raising four children required her to get creative to provide for us. One of the ways she did that was to sew our school clothes. But she wouldn’t just sew for us. There are more than a few family members and friends who have had an outfit, or two (or three) lovingly sewn by our mother. When she wasn’t sewing she would be crocheting or knitting afghans. In her retirement, she made baby blankets for a women’s shelter.
Mom was known for her stubborn determination. She taught herself to do many things that most women today wouldn’t even try to tackle. She would do basic plumbing and electrical work, lay down new flooring and hang wallpaper. She would even do basic car repairs. If she didn’t know how to do something, she usually could find a friend who would either do it for her or show her how to do it. She even helped to reroof her own house!
She had a big heart and would help out anyone at any time, whenever she could. She will be missed.
She is survived by her four children Shannyn Griffin, LaTanya Davis, LaCaisa Davis and Terrele Davis, Sr.,daughter-in-law Dawnet Davis, grandchildren Diedre Frazier, Nadja Davis, Caida Davis, Anayas Davis and Terrele Davis, Jr., great grandson Cameron Frazier and brothers Fred Griffin Michael Griffin, and Jene Griffin, along with a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
