Valerine S. Roe's Obituary
Valerine Roe Valerine Susanne Roe, 89, of Tacoma, WA, passed away peacefully March 10, 2013 with many loved ones by her side at Oakwood Haven Adult Family Home in Centralia, WA. She was born July 18, 1923 in Dickinson, ND, one of eight children of Joseph M. and Elizabeth A. Stecher. Valerine attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Bismarck, where she studied art and received national recognition for her work.
After graduation Valerine traveled around the United States until planting her feet in Dayton, OH to work at Wright Patterson AFB, where she would meet her future husband, MSGT. Kenneth N. Roe.
Married August 13, 1953, Valerine and Kenneth lived the Air Force life of living at many different bases until settling in Tacoma to raise their family in 1965.
She is survived by her three sons: Michael and his wife Marla of Longview, WA, Kenneth S. of Spanaway, and John and his wife LaRae of Salkum, WA.
Services will be held in the Garden Chapel at 1:00PM on Monday, March 18th at Mountain View Funeral Home, located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA.
