Val loved her work as a social worker, and after her career was finished she enjoyed doing stuff with friends. Sometimes it was to be their personal beautician. She loved to do their make-up, hair, and nails. Sometimes it was just to be there to listen. She was very outgoing and loved to be around friends. Whether it was Karaoke, bowling or going on long rides anywhere, Val always had a good time.
Val will be missed by many.
Someday the silver cord will break
And I no more as now shall sing
But oh the joy when I awake
Within the presence of the King
Someday my earthly house will fall,
I cannot tell how soon ’twill be,
But this I know—my All in all
Has now a place with Him for me.
Or some day when my Lord will come,
And called to meet Him I’ll be blest,
He then will say to me, “Well done,”
And I shall enter into rest.
Someday, till then I’ll watch and wait,
My lamp all trimmed and burning bright,
So when my Savior opes the gate
My soul to Him may take its flight
And I shall see him face to face
And tell the story saved by grace
