I have a recent memory to share, of Auntie Val's mischievous sense of humor. I had gone over to their house to keep them company. Auntie Val was sitting on the couch apparently asleep. Uncle Stan told her, fairly loudly, that I was there, but she didn't respond. He tried again... no response. I started thinking, "diabetic, can't wake her, we might need to call 911..." I leaned in close, shook her shoulder and called her name loudly. She opened her eyes wide with a loud roar, and then started laughing! She had been awake the whole time, waiting to jump scare me when I got in close enough!
So very sorry to hear of Val's passing. She is rejoicing in heaven now. Maybe she will run into Howard and Bob. My deepest sympathies.
