Ursula Simons' Obituary
Ursula Simons
Ursula Simons passed away peacefully on March 4, 2014. She was born on September 1, 1942 in Verdau, Germany and moved to Lakewood, WA in 1965, where she married her husband of 47 years, Rolf M. Simons. She resided in her home in Gig Harbor, WA.
Ursula was a doting wife and a wonderful mother of two, and she loved being able to stay home and raise a family. Her current hobbies included crocheting/knitting, reading and listening to music. Many of Ursula's life long friends were made through the Carling Yacht Club, and even after she and her husband no longer went boating, the bond of friendship never died. From the open seas to Yuma, Arizona, they purchased a winter home and became official "snowbirds" in 2005. After losing her husband in September 2013, she sold the winter home. She spent her last few months enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and some very good friends.
Ursula will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband Rolf M. Simons of Gig Harbor; she is survived by her daughter Elke Simons Krakow and her husband Peter Krakow of Bonney Lake; son Mark Simons and his wife Sara Simons of Puyallup; granddaughters McKenzie Krakow and Emily Simons.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor, date and venue not established at this time.
