Ursula Caecilie Moore's Obituary
Ursula Cäcilia Goldbach was born on March 9, 1938, in Frankfurt, Germany, to Robert Goldbach and Elizabeth (Flickinger) Goldbach. It was there that Ursula met the first love of her life, Sgt. Royelton L. Pete, who was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army. Ursula’s dedication to Royelton led to her immigrate to Fort Lewis, Washington, as Mrs. Ursula Pete in 1976. Royelton’s dedication to the United States Army would eventually lead to the dissolution of this marriage.
In 1982, Ursula remarried, this time choosing Joseph Eddie Moore Sr., a Retired Airborne Army veteran who served in WWII and Korea, as her life partner. Ursula’s marriage to Joesph (Joe) brought with it the privilege of being a step-mother to Joe’s children, Carl Moore and Joseph Moore Jr. Preceding their marriage, Ursula Moore met Katreace Lozier, daughter of family friends Alfred Bennett (a Navy and Army Veteran) and Cynthia Lozier (Army Veteran), at the age of 10 days old and started the process for adoption. The process was finalized in December, 1981, when Katreace Lozier was returned to the State of Washington from the Bronx, New York, and adopted at the age of 2.
Ursula Moore was a lifelong Pierce County resident, known for her empowerment inclusive of her anti -feminism and proud European cultural heritage. As a homemaker, Ursula touched the hearts of many families. She was loved and welcomed by countless families in the Pierce County area, especially after being widowed on July 31, 1992.
