Ursula Edith Camodeca(Lou)Ursula Edith Camodeca passed away quietly on January 28th after a long illness. She was born on January 6th, 1926, in Berlin Germany. She left Berlin in April 1945 and made her way on foot to southern Germany and found employment with the U.S. Forces in Augsburg, Germany, as a clerk and interpreter. There she met and married Frank, her husband for over 50 years. They have resided in Lakewood for over 37 years. She is survived also by her daughter, Birgit Goss and her husband Larry, of Tacoma; her sister, Renate, and nephew, Rene, of Hildesheim.Lou had a deep love and passion for animals and nature. She loved poetry, music, reading, and had an insatiable curiosity about the world we inhabit. Above all, her most favorite place in the world was Ocean Shores, where she spent months with her beloved Dachse Max. With Max she would stroll the beaches or she would sit atop the dunes reading with Max by her side. She is now with Max in Rainbow Heaven, breathing freely and together again strolling along the beaches and dunes of the world. At her request there will be no memorial service. The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to the nurses, nurses aides, and volunteers of Multicare Hospice of Tacoma who helped care for Lou with a gentle kindness and tenderness that made her passing less painful. Remembrances may be donations to Multicare Hospice of Tacoma
