What a lovely, sweet lady she was! Her goodness is reflected in her children. We know her son Keith and are blessed to have him in our Tacoma Rose Society group, as well as our Designer's Guild.

My first memory of Umatilla was just a short time ago when I went to the first cousin's reunion in Tacoma at the home of Phyllis. That first memory is just how impressed I was with the great amount of love that I saw from her children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends expressed to Umatilla. The next thing I love to recall is the wonderful voice she had when she sang at our "talent" show. It has been such a pleasure to get to know even on a limited basis my mom's little sister that she used to tell me about. I was so saddened to learn of her passing and my wishes for the entire family is that they will cherish her loving memory and know that there others that share in your loss.

Dear family of my sweet Aunt Umatilla Francis Virginia Williams Ripley. Our thoughts are with you as you say good by to your mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Thank you for bringing her to the wonderful family reunions that helped me get to know her closer in the last few years. Knowing mother's sisters was special as they were such a loving and close family. Saying good by to our mothers and fathers is a chapter of our life that is necessary although painful and when they have lived a full and vibrant life the last years so remind us that parting is bittersweet. We know they must pass on and suffer no more. Memories are special.
