Tyrus Levon Smith's Obituary
Tyrus L. Smith Sr
Tyrus L. Smith, A.K.A "T-Y", "Big Boy", or "Bayou Kid", 62, of Tacoma, WA, has "gone fishing". His suffering ended June 24, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital as he quietly entered into eternal rest.
Tyrus was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who was loved by all who knew him. In 2006 Tyrus gave his life to the lord and was re-baptized. He was a jokester, who never missed a photo op, nor did he ever let you forget his birthday.
Tyrus was a welder for many years. He loved to fish, cook, dance, and listen to the blues.
Tyrus L. Smith was preceded in death by his father J. C. Smith. He leaves to celebrate his memories his sons Tyrus Smith, Jr., Brian Smith, Shawkim Runnels, parents William and Naomi Brownfield, brothers Lonell, James C., Norman Ray, Don, Sammie, Louis, and Todd, sisters Laura, Brenda, Anne, Sheryl, Jerri, Joan, and Mary. He was also blessed with a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 1pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4818 E. Portland Avenue, Tacoma, WA.
