Tyrone Hugh DuPont
Tyrone Hugh DuPont, Lakewood, Washington, passed away 10 June 2009 at the age of 61 years old, after a long illness. Tyrone Was born in Portland, Oregon to Hugh DuPont and Imogene DuPont Ferrell on 9 June 1948. Tyrone was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Tyrone DuPont's family was the love of his life, and is survived by his mother Imogene, his son Cody DuPont, daughter Lindsey Jean DuPont, and brothers Byron DuPont (Linda), Greg DuPont, stepsister Judy Lesch (Jerry) and stepbrother Mike Ferrell. Tyrone lived most of his life in Portland, Oregon, and attended Vestal Grade School, Madison High School and Portland State University; took Sabbatical during his senior year to tour nine European Countries and the United States. His business experience was sales mostly for the General Foods Company. Tyrone loved people and was the happiest when talking to many friends and relatives about school days and their experiences and traveling to make people laugh and be happy. He especially liked to work with young people like coaching Little League and Babe Ruth baseball, which he thoroughly enjoyed and was a very good coach. His favorite sport, above all, was fishing on the coast, camping, baseball, golfing and he was an excellent photographer. The funeral services will be held at Mt. View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., Tacoma, Wa. at the Aspen Chapel, 17 June 2009 at 1PM. Officiant will be Pastor Schmidt from the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
