Tynie Sherls' Obituary
The wonderful Tynie H. Sherls passed away Saturday, July 16th, 2005. She was born July 22, 1918 to John and Ethel Holman in Tullahoma, TN. After attending Fisk University, Tynie taught school for Tacoma Public Schools until her retirement in 1978. Tynie was a member of the AME Church.She will be laid to rest next to her husband James R. Sherls in Shelbyville, TN. She is survived by her two sons Reed and Alvin, her grandchildren Jamilia, Matthew, Leonard, Tina, Ian, Simone and Evan, and her great-grandchildren Tajahne, Amiya, Amari and Savannah, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.Viewing will be from 1:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday (TODAY), July 21 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 22 at Allen AME Church in Tacoma, WA.
