I remember her amazing Pancit and how she would always have plenty for us when we had a family event. I also liked how she would make Afritada for me. One time she had said a batch was not good as it had been burned but I had already had two helpings. Ateng was a very honest woman who spoke her mind but her love for family was always on display with her cooking and contstant presence at all of our events.
Words can never fully capture the magnitude of her life and the complexity of her contributions to the family. I had thought we had more time and I am still in shock over everything but I know thanks to the love of our extended family she will never be forgotten and through the grace of God she and our lost loved ones will watch over us always and will be with us always until we meet again.
