Travis S. Taylor's Obituary
Travis Sterling Taylor of Puyallup, quietly passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016. He was born in Mesa, Arizona on May 9th, 1984 to Robert and Barbara Taylor. Travis was the youngest of four brothers.
Travis lived in Arizona until he moved to Washington in 1994. He graduated from Auburn Riverside High School in 2002. After high school he continued his education and graduated from UTI in Arizona with an HVAC associates degree in 2003. He enjoyed his career as an HVAC Technician for almost 10 years.
Travis loved spending time outdoors. He spent many days on the boat fishing and swimming with his family. He enjoyed camping, traveling, family fishing derby’s, poker tournaments, watching football, barbecuing, and just hanging out with his family.
Travis was a son, brother, father, husband, uncle and most of all a friend. His best achievement in life was being a father. He loved his children with all of his heart. Jordan, Jaden and Tatum received unconditional love and structure. He taught them the discipline of being independent, honest and hardworking.
In October 2011 he was diagnosed with Spindle Cell Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. He fought a courageous battle for almost 4 ½ years. Not once did he give up or lose faith. He maintained his sense of humor and kept a smile on his face at all times.
Travis is survived by his wife Julie and their three children; Jordan, Jaden and Tatum. He is also survived by his grandmother Karen, mother Barbara (Mel) Hancock, brothers Chris (Natalie), Jesse (Alexis), Kyle (Lauren), in-laws Vicky (Dale) Moyers, and Jennifer (Rob) Kearney. Travis is a beloved uncle to Brooke, Cody, Jillian, Ryder, and Shore. He has many cousins and extended family that he loved greatly. He was preceded in death by his father Robert James Taylor.
When Travis passed it left so many heartbroken from losing their true hero. His smile and wit will be missed every day, yet his legacy will live on through his children and all those he touched.
