Tin Ngoc Doan's Obituary
We celebrate the beautiful life of Tin Doan, a man whose journey carried him from Hoi An, Vietnam to Olympia, Washington, always powered by curiosity, skill, and steady good cheer. His story shines with hard-earned achievements and lively moments that encouraged everyone around him to keep moving forward. Born on May 8, 1957 in Hoi An, Tin learned early how to solve problems with his hands and his mind. Those talents set the stage for a lifetime of reliable work and friendly teamwork. He earned a Degree in Auto Mechanics from South Puget Sound Community College, adding expert knowledge to his natural knack for fixing things. His time there showed his commitment to doing every task the right way, every single day. Tin started worked hard as a maintenance mechanic at Evergreen State College. Colleagues quickly noticed his calm approach and steady dedication, qualities that kept classrooms and workspaces running smoothly. Away from work, Tin loved soccer, tennis, ping pong, billiards, and more, always ready for a friendly match and the laughter that followed each point. Today we gather our happiest memories of Tin, thankful for his can-do spirit and the joy he found in both work and play. May we carry forward his energy, his practical skills, and his love of a good game, keeping his bright example alive in our own daily lives.
