Dale Blankenship's Obituary
Loving husband and wonderful father, passed away with family and friends surrounding him on November 28, 2021 at the age of 59. Dale was able to spend one last birthday and Thanksgiving with his wife and daughter before his life was cut short by COVID Pneumonia.
Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Dale lived in the Lakewood/Tacoma, Washington area for most of his life. He was an excellent athlete, growing up playing football, loving every moment. He collected football cards throughout his life and loved watching the college teams as well as the Seahawks.
Dale served in the United States Airforce , then became a Corrections Professional, working for the State of Washington and eventually moving on to an excellent career in the Security field.
Dale’s memory will be kept alive by the many people he touched throughout his life, leaving a lasting impression as a loving and loyal friend and co-worker. He was always on your six.
Dale is predeceased by his mother, Kazuko, father Leonard and sister Sandra. He is survived by his loving, loyal wife of over 20 years, Vicky, remaining by his side every step of the way. He is also survived by his daughter Maegan, son Jonathan, granddaughter Allegra, siblings
Joe (Carmen), Dave (Diane), Jennie, Ben (Mary), Mike and Charlie (Lynette), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499, on Monday, January 17th, 2021 at 12:00pm in the “Celebration of Life Center.” Graveside Services to follow.
