Tiana Jerene Chhan - Johnson's Obituary
Tiana Jarene Chhan Johnson was granted her angel wings on February 14th, 2016 in Tacoma, Washington following a short battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family & friends and she passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving parents Julie and Tyrell. In some small way, she touched the hearts of everyone she met throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Although Tiana's illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. A “diva” is how some would describe her character as she enjoyed music, staying up late and watching "surprise eggs". Tiana’s favorite color was purple.
Tiana’s life would seem too short to many, but those who saw her and knew her understood that quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she spoke very little, her voice and thoughts could always be heard.
With Tiana's passing we remind others that life is one to be celebrated. Tiana gave us a lifetime of love during her short stay on earth and we will greatly miss her every day as she will forever remain in our hearts.
Tiana leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. Tiana's love extends to family, friends, and all the nurses and staff, all of the Hearts For Tiana supporters, the Seattle Seahawks, the Q13 family and to all the love received from the names too many to mention. Thank you for being strong and supporting Tiana and her family during her most difficult moments. Tiana is survived by her loving parents, Julie Chhan and Tyrell Johnson; her siblings, Juliana and Kyrell; her Grandparents Rith, Lisa, and Denean; and aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins. Tiana joins her brother Tien Johnson in heaven.
To all our friends, family, and the community we would love for everyone to come join us to send our beautiful baby girl princess Tiana home to God. We would love for everyone to wear the color black or her pictures on your black shirts or sweaters. It will be on Tuesday on the 23rd at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood, WA. Donations will be happily accepted to aid Tiana’s family for funeral expenses.
