Thomas R. Schindler's Obituary
Thomas R. Schindler was born on November 10, 1968 in Speyer, Germany to parents Michael G. Schindler and Marianne Schindler. He passed away on December 28, 2018 at the age of 50 in Lakewood, Washington. He was the beloved life partner of Paula Manalo.
Thomas attended and graduated from Steilacoom High School moving on to take post-secondary classes at Pierce College in Lakewood. One of his earliest passions was playing soccer and wanting to become a professional soccer player. His favorite soccer team was FC Bayern Munchen (Germany). He loved spending time with his Paula, family, and friends. Thomas was a man of integrity, honesty, kindness, humor and stubbornness. He often said “I am a Jack of all trades and a master of none!” He loved to “tinker”…that is take things apart and put them back together again. He truly loved to find lost treasure.
Thomas was preceded to heaven by his beloved father, Michael G. Schindler, and friends John Kainoa, Sr., James L. Rogers, and Sergeant Major Klaus G. Lowry. He is survived by Paula Manalo, his life partner of 22 loving years. His mother Marianne Schindler; sisters Michaela Carlson (Kurt), and Eva Smith (Greg); niece Leah and nephew Nicholas.
Thomas was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends. Friends and family will be celebrating his life at a cherished ceremony on Thursday, January 31, 2019, 10:00am at Mountain View Cemetery
