Thomas James Manza's Obituary
Thomas James “Tom” Manza, 74, passed away on December 28 in Steilacoom, Washington. Born and raised in Tacoma, Tom remained deeply connected to the place he called home throughout his life.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria, and his two children, Emi and Eli. He and Gloria recently celebrated 40 years of marriage in August — a milestone that reflected a lifetime of love, partnership, and shared memories.
Tom loved being outdoors and treasured any time spent with his family. He also had a lifelong love of music and, in recent years, enjoyed learning guitar, always curious and eager to keep improving. He had been attending concerts for as long as anyone could remember and loved seeing his favorite bands live whenever he could.
Though he held many roles throughout his life, the one he cherished most — and truly excelled — was being a father. Bringing joy to others, especially family, came naturally to him. Whether through a joke, a laugh, or even a quiet moment together, his goal was always to make those around him smile. His warmth, laughter, and constant joy for life were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to everyone he encountered.
Our family invites you to leave cherished memories, messages, and photos on the guestbook page in honor of our Dad’s life, impact, and legacy.
