Thomas Louis Robertson's Obituary
Died May 1, 2006 at the age of 77. He was born in Meridian, Mississippi on September 30, 1928 to Robert and Delia Steward Robertson. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Meridian and upon graduation joined the military. Thomas served 24 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1975. During his military career he was stationed in Korea, and did three tours in Vietnam. Following military retirement, Thomas worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years, until his retirement in January 2006. Thomas received a service award recognition of more than 53 years of federal employment.Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother and three sisters. He is survived by his devoted wife, Willie; two daughters, Elaine Frazier (husband Bill Frazier) and Judith K. Smith; two grandsons, Christopher Smith and Tyler Frazier; two sisters, Wanda Lynch of Rainbow, AL and Ardette Robertson of Meridian, MS; three brothers, Johnny Robertson, Frederick Robertson and Lamar Robertson of Meridian, MS; aunts, and many nephews and nieces.Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will be missed by all.Viewing will be from 1:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home, Tacoma, WA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Allen AME Church, 1321 MLK Way, Tacoma.In lieu of flowers send donations to Franciscan Hospice, 2901 Bridgeport Way W, University Place, WA 98466-4631.
