He is survived by his wife, Elsie McDowell of Bainbridge Island; 3 sons, Tommy (Linda) McDowell of Port Orchard, WA, James McDowell of Seattle, WA and Douglas (Judy) Mc Dowell of Lakewood, WA; step-son, John Backland; stepdaughter, Nellie OÂ'Hannes; brother, Eldon McDowell; sisters, Ruth McDowell, Mildred Chandler and Wilma Dyer; grandchildren, Gail and Chris McDowell of Port Orchard, WA, Savannah and Tucker McDowell of Lakewood, WA. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
