Happy birthday.
I am very sorry to hear of Professor Crandall's passing. He was a great teacher, and I learned a lot from him at the University of Toledo. John R. Frazier
Lifelong Friend. Lover of life and nature. From Ohio, to Kentucky, to Florida I've learned so much, thanks to you.... you'll live on forever in our hearts. We love and miss you dearly in Ohio 💕 Moritz Family
Dear Kelley, Franklin, and sweet Daca, This is "Aunt Peggy." My heart is broken about my dear cousin, Tommy. It's also breaking because a year and a half has gone by and none of us were given the chance to say how much we loved him and how much we still love all of you. Not even one of our family members were notified of his passing. Cousin Patty was the one who found out through her attorney just two days ago. Tommy and your entire family were my safe haven during my deepest need. I thank you, I love each one of you dearly and I will never forget how you all nurtured me through. My last name is King now and I would truly love it if you would contact me again. I'm still in Anderson. I miss you all very much. Daca, I have missed your friendship more than you could possibly imagine. I am grateful for my childhood memories of Tommy. What a fun, loving, and really good man he was! We were all blessed to have him for our cousin. My heart goes out to each one of you.
Rest In Peace. It's been a year but it seems like yesterday. You are loved and sorely missed everyday.
Professor Crandall was truly an inspired teacher. I had him in 1978 or 79 for Articles 3 & 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code. He made one of the driest subjects ever devised by man into an inspiring joy. I developed a true love for the process of statutory construction.
But what I most frequently remember him for are few moments of dicta. This was a time when the banks and financial interests were gearing up for another one of their revolutionary assaults on our society, culture and economy. As part of that there were in several states, including Washington, an effort to repeal usury laws. At the time consumer credit was capped at a meager 12 -14%. The banks were threatening to leave the state if there was not repeal. It was, as Professor Crandall predicted, just one of the fronts in their effort to create a consumerist society comprised of debt slaves.

Dear Diana we are so sorry for your loss, and we want to thank you for sharing Tom with us and it was so nice of him to go see Robbie when he was in the hospital. Tom was a sweet man and I remember when were at Walmart and I was helping him cross the parking lot getting him into the store and he saw you and I said Diana is such a good person he said yes she's a very good woman and I love her very much she's a keeper he said looking and smiling at her. I know in the six years you were with Tom you went through some life changing things you didn't expect, those hiccups that put a damper on a happy relationship you went through a lot of changes during your six years you did the best you could for Tom you always put him first and always worried about him, so Sweetie please never feel that you failed you were there always by his side and I know we will all miss him and his bright smile we lost a friend, you lost a wonderful Fiancé
I lived across the street from Tom when he lived in Littleton Colo. We became good friends taking many different road trips, fishing excursions, and dinners during the years he lived in littleton. He was a mans man with a great sense of humour and love for the outdoors. Everyone that met Tom loved him. I will miss him terribly. He was a great guy. Patrick McEvoy...
