THOMAS ALBERT Â"TOMÂ" REEDSEPT 24, 1945 - DEC 2, 2006 Born in Burley Idaho, Tom was the sixth of thirteen children of William A. and Susan M. Reed. Tom joined the U.S. Army on his 17th Birthday. He was stationed in Chitose, Japan, Bangor, Maine and Ft. Belvor Virginia, returning to Idaho where he married Cheryl Hayworth; they moved to Vancouver Washington, had two children and then later divorced. He returned to Idaho in 1971 married Mary Helms on Dec 3, whom had three children. Tom went back to school for heating and air conditioning. Together they had one child. A new job took them to Reno Nevada. In 1974 Tom again joined the U.S. Army, as an enlisted soldier stationed at Ft Bliss Texas. In 1977 he became commissioned as a Warrant Officer and was stationed at FT. Ord California and Aschaffenburg, Germany. After 17 years in the military Tom became a Civil Engineer at Ft Lewis Washington. He then worked for and retired from the Boeing Company. He went back to school learning his new hobby, Â computersÂ'. He worked for the Local Motion Transportation. All through life Tom enjoyed family, friends and happiness! He also enjoyed being in the outdoors, viewing wildlife and the laughter of children. Tom will join grandparents, parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and 3 nephews, 1 niece and 1 grandson.Tom will be sincerely missed by the surviving family; wife of 35 years Mary, 2 brothers James and Floyd, 5 sisters Marie (Don) Smith, Ida Countryman, June (Dale) Roberts, Rose (Jose) Elguezabal, Mary (Kenny) Baugh, 4 Sons, 4 Daughters and several grandchildren. Services held at Mountain View Funeral Home Tacoma WA, on Dec. 8th @ 3pm in the Celebration of Life Building. Friends and Family Service will also be held at a later date in Burley Idaho.
