Therese Lanzon's Obituary
Therese (Terry) F. Lanzon
Our mom, Therese F Lanzon, passed away suddenly March 30, 2009 in her home. She was born August 20, 1928 in Grand Haven, Michigan. She met and married Joseph Lanzon, a handsome young First Lieutenant in the Air Force on July 25, 1949. She is now reunited with our Dad who passed on October 19, 2006 and their youngest daughter, Elizabeth Anne, who died in 1974. She will be missed by her three daughters and their husbands: JeanMarie Foss (Jerry) of Fircrest, WA, Patricia Ann Bibo (Mike) of Galesburg, IL and Marycatherine Stubbs (Jon) of Tacoma, WA. She's now watching over her grandchildren, Matt (Sarah), Greg (Jeni), Jillian, Halley (Dan), Neil, and Claire.
Mom loved her volunteer work at St John Bosco's-¦. She always looked forward to Friday mornings in the church office. She was active in the Funeral Ministry and was well know for her Pistachio Salad. For many years she was known as -Å"The Rosary Lady-. She crafted the most beautiful rosaries and many folks would ask for special requests or if she could repair old family heirloom antique rosaries.
In addition to SJB she loved her backyard bird sanctuary, to the point of trapping pesky raccoons & possums with her -Å"have a heart- trap; she even would take -Å"pot shots- with her BB gun only to scare off other critters so her birds could thrive.
Our mother was such a warm, beautiful person always putting us in front of her needs.
In the last few years she had became the most amazing woman, healthy, positive, humorous-¦.we were hoping she would be around for a lot longer-¦. God had better a plan!
Rosary will be held at 10:00AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00am, Saturday, April 4th, 2009, at St John Bosco Catholic Church in Lakewood. A luncheon honoring mom will be held after the service. Memorials may be made to the St. John Bosco Pastor Fund. Please sign online Guest Book at www.mountainviewtacoma.com.
