Theola "Tina" Smith
Tina, 65, was born March 19, 1947 in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
She passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mallie and Fred Covington, three sisters Johnsie Lee Wormley, Rosetta Hagins, and Leila Greene; four brothers Willie Wall Lindsey, Woodrow Covington, Marvin Covington, Clarence Covington, and Theodore Covington.
Tina obtained her BA in Business from City University. Tina was employed with US West Communications for 22 years.
She was an active member of St. John Transformational Ministries International until 2005 when her health began to fail.
She is survived by her loving husband Warren T. Smith, Sr. of 34 years; three sons Daren (Nicole) Monroe, Frederick Monroe, Warren T. (Jennifer) Smith, Jr.; four sisters Pastor Cleo Firby, Philadelphia, PA, Mary Logan, Prescott Valley, AZ, Ceretha Sherrill, Charlotte, NC, Linta Baldwin, Lancaster, PA; one brother Kenneth Covington, Lancaster, PA; five grand-children and a host of close relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
