Thelma Marie MacArthur

Thelma Marie MacArthur went to be with the Lord March 24, 2012. She was born in Chino, CA on December 24, 1915, along with her twin sister, Velma, who predeceased her. Thelma attended Chaffey Junior College, and became the secretary to the President of Los Angeles Pacific College. It was at LAPC where she met the love of her life, Walter A. MacArthur. Walter was called to the Methodist ministry, and together they served in Illinois, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. Walter passed away in 2007. Thelma devoted her life to her family and being a pastor's wife. She is survived by her son Jon and wife Cindy, and daughter Janet Montgomerie and husband James, seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Wesley Homes Health Center, Des Moines, WA, for their compassionate and loving care. A family graveside service will be held April 10, 2012 at Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, WA.
