Thach N. Tran's Obituary
Thach "Tike" Tran Was born on April 16, 1952 in Namdinh, Vietnam. He passed away on December 11, 2008 after a long bout of illness. He is preceded in death by his father and youngest sister and survived by his wife, his daughter, his mother, two brothers, six sisters, numerous nephews and nieces, and their families. The eldest child of ten, Tike was determined to help his family, even to the point of sacrificing his own dreams. For this, his family is very indebted to him. He often expressed great joy and happiness in the success of his brothers and sisters. Not until they had all left the nest to be on their own did Tike begin thinking of his own happiness and family. Consequently he married rather late in life. In 1996, Tike's life was deeply enriched when he met and married Ha. Together they were blessed with their beautiful and bright daughter, Aivi. Their lives were forever changed when he became a paraplegic in 1997. Tike was a very fun and loving man. He had a way of brightening everyone's day with just his smile. His siblings appreciated that he had a very easygoing nature, was very unselfish, and valued their success and lives before his own. He was a wonderful and proud father to Aivi. The memories of his being a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend will be forever cherished; may he rest in peace. Tike will be dearly missed.
