Terry Lee Tietz's Obituary
March 23, 1947-May 3, 2018
Terry was a “Jack of All Trades”. He was a proud submariner for 4 years during the Viet Nam era; a carpenter, mechanic, taxi driver, building inspector and worked at Bangor Submarine Base.
He was a “self-certified” life coach who taught life lessons through his own life experiences. He loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. They brought softness and joy to his spirit and demeanor. Holidays were special times for Terry since they brought him closer to his family.
Terry had an infectious laugh, was brutally honest, pulled no punches, kept his word and expected no less from others. He had a passionate spirit, was reliable, sincere, honest and loving.
Terry knew no strangers. He was outgoing and enjoyed interacting with others. With Terry, if you were ever his friend, you were always his friend.
Fair winds and following seas, Terry. Rest in Peace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Helen Tietz. He is survived by 2 sons, Darin M. Tietz (Brandi Gese) their daughter, Willow; Shane C. Tietz (Danielle), their children Ethan, Keaton, and Ava; one daughter, Stephanie l. Tietz; her children, Jenni Pestka, Trever and Ty Cox. One sister, Barbara Tietz; 2 brothers, Donald Tietz, Charles Tietz (Kathy); several very special cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response Headquarters, 1200 Hosford Street, Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316 or www.lung.org.
