Terry E. Lauritzen
April 28, 1949 – May 11, 2021
Terry passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Born in Sunnyside, Washington, he spent his younger years with brothers James and Leonard, growing up in Pendleton, Oregon. Attending high school in Seattle he graduated from Lincoln High School.
At the University of Washington, Terry met his future wife Betty in the Husky Marching Band. His course work took him to the School of Pharmacy, graduating with honors.
Upon graduation he went to work for Group Health, now Kaiser Permanente. He worked as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager at the Olympia, Tacoma, Specialty, Tacoma South and Puyallup clinics, retiring after 42 years.
Over the years he enjoyed sailing, reading, computer gaming, fantasy football, and travel with his wife. Their last trip prior to COVID was to the Scandinavian countries and Russia.
Nothing was more important than his family. He is survived by his wife (Betty), sons (David and Michael), daughter-in-law (Jamie), granddaughters (Hannah and Kassandra), and his brothers (James and Leonard)
There will be a farewell celebration at Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 3-5 PM, at the Aspen Chapel, Masks are require indoors. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association, the Tacoma Rescue Mission, or Habitat for Humanity.
