Terria Yvonne Harris' Obituary
Terria Yvonne Ward was born on January 19, 1948 in Birmingham Alabama.
In 1961, her family moved to Cleveland Ohio, where she graduated at the age of 16 from East High School. She attended Man Power Tech for Shorthand and Dictation beginning her career in the medical. Terria birthed James Lavell Ward in 1966, married Roosevelt "Bro" Harris in 1972 followed by the birth of the twins, Shalonda and Laronda in 1974 and DeAndrea in 1978.
Terria then moved with her children to Tacoma, Washington in 1984 where she was welcomed and her family continued to grow.
Terria continued her work in the medical field in Tacoma until she retired in 2004, working part-time in the legal field until 2008. Terria loved to cook whether it was gumbo or her special baked goods, loved a family bowling party, reading a good book or gardening. You may have even heard her cheering on her kids and grandkids from anything to a softball or basketball game to a dance recital or spelling bee, she just loved spending time with family and friends.
Those left to mourn include her siblings, Pamela Ward, Kenneth Ward, and Marquis Ward Sr. Also left are her children, James Lavell Ward, Laronda Hardy(TaDarwin), Shalonda Morton(Germaine) and DeAndrea Harris(Joseph). Also included are 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
