Terresa Carr Butler's Obituary
Terresa Carr Butler, died at the age of 92 in her own home, in Lakewood, WA.
She died on December 27, 2015 of Acute Leukemia.
She was born in Anson, TX to Howell C. Carr and Bertha Ann Carr, on May 1, 1923.
While she worked at the Pentagon from 1945 to 1947, as a secretary, she met and married Jack E. Butler, where they were married on May 11, 1946. One year later, they celebrated the birth of their first and only child, Kathleen Anne Butler. Kathleen was born in Bremerhaven, Germany, in an Army, American hospital on October 7, 1947.
Kathleen attended school in Europe and the Pacific areas. She graduated in Hamlin, TX.
Terresa later, also worked as a realtor for Ellen Shinn Realty. She worked for Ellen from 1962 to 1972.
She often enjoyed playing cards, like Bridge, Canasta and Cribbage. She also enjoyed playing golf with her husband, and life-long friends, William and Lucille Hundley, who are now both deceased. In the late winter months, they would drive their trailers to Arizona, where they would stay until early spring.
In 1965, my mother – Kathleen Anne Butler met and dated, then married, my father, John Dewitt Kirk III. Where they had two daughters, Karen Anne Kirk, born on January 2, 1968 and Jacquelyn Anne Kirk, born on October 26, 1970.
Terresa was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Butler, June 4, 1991, her daughter, Kathleen Anne Butler, October 9, 2008, also by siblings: Clifford C. Carr, his wife, Marie Carr, Lucille Willbanks, her husband, Odell Willbanks, Joan Hester, and her husband, Jonny Hester, who is still living, Jerry P Carr and his wife, Patsy Carr, who is still living.
Terresa is survived by her granddaughters, Karen Anne Coolidge and her husband, Donald H. Coolidge, and Jacquelyn Anne Winner and her husband, Gary M. Winner, also by her only great-granddaughter, Heather Anne Kirk. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins too. The person who had the most influence on her life: Jerry Polk Carr – her Brother.

Then at 1:30 PM we will go to Graveside Services.
