Teresita Nellie Iriarte Coalson
October 1st, 1949 ~ June 4th, 2023
On June 4th, 2023, Teresita Coalson was called to eternal rest after a short battle with cancer. Teresita was born in the village of Tamuning, Guam, to Lorenzo and Lucia Iriarte. She was the eldest of nine siblings. After graduating from high school at the age of 16, she went on to join the U.S. army as part of the Women’s Army Corps. Throughout her military service, Tere achieved her lifelong goal of traveling the world, eventually retiring at Fort Lewis, Washington after more than 23 years. Tere was joined in marriage to Robert “Bob” Coalson for 43 years, until his passing in 2014. Together they raised three children: Vicky Lynn, John David, and Angela Gwen. She was the proud nana to ten grandchildren. Teresita leaves behind a legacy of caring for her family and friends, in addition to her many years of service to her country.
In addition to her family, Tere will always be remembered by numerous family and friends from Guam, Saipan, and the mainland.

Her children: Vicky Lynn Coalson, John David Coalson (Hollie Coalson) & Angela Gomez (Jehnsen Gomez)
Her grandchildren: Kayla, Jayden, Olivia, Gavyn, Lyllianna, Isabella, Ava, Jameson, Sebastian, & Asher
