Teresa L. Covell's Obituary
Teresa “Terri” L, Covell, 76, of Gig Harbor, Washington, passed away on May 17, 2026, with her daughters by her side. Terri will be remembered for her kind, soft-spoken nature, her inner strength, her creativity, and her generous heart. She had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and connection to family and friends alike. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion and always made it a point to make those days memorable and special for the people she loved.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Heidi Nelson (Steve), Tiffany Marshall (Robb), Kristi Oslin (Todd), and Misti Anderson (Carl). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Derek Nelson, Jordan Nelson, Miranda Marshall, Gray Marshall, Jake Marshall, Madelyn Oslin, Kaylee Anderson, and Kyle Anderson, and a cherished great grandmother to Romy, Avah, Oakley, and Boone, all of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her brothers, James Edwards and Jack Edwards (Jacque), along with numerous family members and friends who all held a special place in her heart.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle Edwards and Isabel Edwards; her husband, James Covell; and her longtime partner, Greg Sawicki. Terri carried a deep appreciation for life’s simple moments, and treasured time spent with her family above all else. Through her quiet strength, warm conversation, and generous spirit, she made a lasting impact on everyone around her,
Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A service will be held on June 26th at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, Washington.
