Taylor Ridgeway's Obituary
Taylor Ridgeway, 30, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on October 28, 2025, held closely by the family who loved her more than anything. Taylor was first told in June 2024 that she had only months to live, but in true Taylor fashion, she proved everyone wrong. With her stubborn strength, her fierce spirit, and her smile that never faded, she kept fighting.
From the very beginning she was full of life. She was always smiling, always finding a way to make a hard moment a little easier for everyone else. Her family was her whole world. She loved deeply, cared openly, and gave her heart without hesitation.
Taylor could be stubborn—everyone who knew her loved that about her. When she set her mind on something, she held onto it with everything she had. That stubbornness became her strength, helping her fight far longer than anyone expected. It was part of what made her Taylor.
What we will remember most is her love. The way she lit up when she talked about Kennedy. The way she always made sure her family knew how much they meant to her. The laughter she brought into our home. The way she could walk into a room and make it feel lighter. She had a warmth that wrapped around you and stayed with you.
Taylor is survived by her daughter, Kennedy; her dad and stepmom, Tony Ridgeway and Krissie; her mom, Ginger Carlyle; her sister Hayley Ridgeway; uncle Nick; aunt Christina; uncle Andy; great-uncle Tony; grandparents Frank and Lydia and countless friends and family members who were lucky enough to be part of her life.
We lost a daughter, sister, and mother, granddaughter, niece, aunt and friend far too soon. But her smile, her stubbornness, her love, and her spirit will stay with us forever. She will always be in our hearts, and she will always be in Kennedy’s.
