Tammy Lee Island's Obituary
Tammy was born March 20, 1961 in Tacoma, Wa. and passed away at home on June 13, 2010. Tammy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979. During high school she enjoyed cheer leading, bowling, golf and softball. After graduation, Tammy worked for several years for the Hillhaven Corp. in Tacoma. In 2005 Tammy decided she wanted to be a flagger. She attended Pierce College for infrastructure Traffic Control. Since 2006 Tammy has been working out of the Local 440 Labors Union in Seattle. Tammy was preceded in death by her sister Cindy Thomas, and step-father Lou Gobron. She is survived by her mother Sharon Burns-Gobron and several cousins in the Tacoma area. Tammy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. God Speed. Services will be held Monday, June 21st, 4:00 pm, Mountain View Funeral Home's Garden Chapel.
