I remember one year at AT we were joking around one of the heaters and I didn't know him all that well at the time but I knew that he was an amazing guy. I remember playing magic the gathering with him during down time in-between classes at drill. I was so happy for him when he moved to the Battalion level. Truly an amazing person.
I met Taji when we were both in the 909th, he was a fantastic person and fantastic NCO. I remember talking about anime/manga, art and video games with him during down time at drill and at the range. RIP brother.
I have so much I want to say but the words are stuck behind my sorrow. I wish I could have come home to say goodbye.
These are some of my most cherished memories. I love you.
I met Taji when we were working at PAX together in Main Theatre years ago. He was one of the first enforcers to really bring me into the group and made me feel so welcomed. I'm so sorry for Taji's family and I'm holding them in my thoughts. Rest in power, Pocket Hercules.
When Taji would come over and stay for the night, we always stayed up super late playing video games. Eventually Taji's character would stop moving and I'd look over and see him asleep sitting straight up. I'd nudge him, and tell him he fell asleep and he would tell me he wasn't sleeping. Then he'd move his character from side to side, and drift back to sleep after a few seconds. Those nights were so much fun and I chuckle about them often.
