Sylvia Koenen Triebwasser's Obituary
The beauty of her soul lay in her endless strength, guidance, and encouragement to family and friends. Loving, witty, creative, thoughtful, and generous are just a few words that describe our beautiful mother, Sylvia. Born to Bertie and Vertin Koenen at home on February 26, 1940 in Fern Hill, WA, she graduated from Lincoln High School and spent her life creating, laughing and caring for her family.
Sylvia passed away peacefully in her longtime home in Milton, WA on October 1st. She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 45 years, Gary, as well as her parents. Left on shore waving goodbye are daughters Celeste (Steve) Lundblom, Selena Corwin, grandchildren Kyle, Wade, Craig, Somer, sister Mary (Dan) Carroll, brother Vertin (Beryl) Koenen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Flowers are welcome, or, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation may be made in honor of Sylvia.
Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA.
We will miss you greatly Mama, but we are comforted by the fact that you are in God’s care and we will see you again.
