Sylvia I Ates' Obituary
Sylvia was born August 5, 1913 in Tacoma and passed away December 1, 2014 in Tacoma. Sylvia served as an administrative secretary with Tacoma Public Schools for 36 years. After retirement, she spent her time volunteering with children. In 1991, she received the Tacoma City of Destiny Award for outstanding contributions to the community. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Sandy, Son Don, sister Natalie and granddaughter Jo Marie. She was a Christian example to all who knew her. A private family graveside service was held. She is with Jesus.
