Susan Lola Yamashita's Obituary
On the 30th of October, 2021, Susan Lola Yamashita lost her battle with cancer and passed away at home in Poulsbo, WA at the age of 62.
She is survived by her parents, Isao and Jeannine Yamashita, of Lakewood, WA, husband Thomas Moore, son Joseph Ascani and her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Barbara Yamashita of Burien, WA.
Susan was born on November 17, 1958 in Ft. Carson, Colorado near Colorado Springs, Co. Susan attended elementary school in Itazuke A.F.B., Japan from 1964 until 1966 when she moved with her family to Lakewood, WA. She went on to graduate from Lakes High School in 1976. She married in 1980 and had one son, Joseph Ascani in 1981. She then went on to attend New Mexico State University and earning a B.A. degree in business in 1989.
Susan married Thomas Moore on February 23, 2000 and eventually moving to Poulsbo, WA. Susan built her own consulting management business in early 2010 and worked there until she retired , due to illness, in 2018.
Susan was a beautiful lady with a vibrant personality. She was a close friend to many because she was a joy to be around and a very kind and caring person to all. She will be remembered and loved as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Susan is placed in New Veterans Cremation Wall, Niche 280 A.
