I'm very sorry I missed Sue's funeral mass today. I searched for her obituary a couple of weeks ago, then today I found it.

I loved Sue. She was solid, and often provided good advice and support for our student services department. Student well-being and their future at Bates and beyond were her passion. I feel fortunate to have experienced her in my life. Stories? So many. What I remember most is how flexible she was, especially during many of our moves required in remodeling, etc. She cared, and I felt that with every conversation.

I loved our monthly retirement lunches together . . and I have missed them and Sue. COVID was not helpful in maintaining relationships.

Blessings on her life and legacy. Life is Good. Gwen Sailer

My mom had the most gentle and loving nature. She was quiet strength and unconditional love and support. She was grateful for her family and friends and the life she built with my dad.
By nature, my mom was accepting, giving, and patient. I aspire to follow her examples. There’s no one better. One classy lady and the best Mom.
We love her so much. Her loss is devastating to the family and I will miss her desparately.
