Susan A. Basto
Born Sept. 21, 1947 passed away peacefully on December 24, 2008 following a long illness. Susan was a loving mother to Heather Miller the step granddaughter she raised from infancy as her own daughter. Sue loved all creatures from the smallest mouse to the largest elephant. She especially loved her cats and the guide dogs she helped Heather train. We will greatly miss Sue's vibrant smile and loving ways. Susan is survived by her mother, Evelyn D. Grant-Franklin step-father Richard Franklin, brother - Gordon F. (Buzz) Grant Jr., niece Tami Aranda with husband Juan who provided constant and loving care through her final years, great nephews John and Ian Aranda, great-niece Maria Aranda and numerous other cousins and close family friends. Sue is preceded in death by her father Gordon F. Grant, former husband Michael Meilander and great nephew Aaron Joseph Aranda. Services with a reception to follow will be held at Mountain View Garden Chapel on Tuesday, December 30th at 10:00am, donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
